Nine days. No school. Endless energy.

Parents, help is here. NL Active centres across North Lincolnshire are running half-term activities until Sunday 1 November. Racket sports are half price: table tennis, squash, badminton, pickleball, racketball and more.

3G pitch hire is discounted too. Water babies get FunSplash, Sea Scooter sessions and giant inflatable obstacle courses in the pool. There are also crash-course swimming lessons, from £7.50 for a whole three-day course.

Cheaper than a soft play coffee. The skate parks at NL Active Epworth, Winterton and Ancholme are open for tricks, ramps and bruised pride. The council calls it "swap screens for screams".

We call it getting them home tired enough to sleep by 8pm. Book at your local NL Active centre or call 01724 291900. Half-term ends Sunday.
