Normanby Hall launches Pumpkin Festival. Orange vegetables now an event

Normanby Hall Country Park has a brand-new Pumpkin Festival this year. It's the first time it has been held there, which makes it about as new as anything gets round here.
It's organised by 2B Events and runs on 17 and 18 October, then every day from 24 to 31 October, during half-term. It's in the Hay Meadow.
You pick your own pumpkin, then carve it, decorate it, or take it home and leave it on the side until mid-November. There are photo spots, children's rides, hot food stalls, spooky storytelling and a pumpkin carving station. There's also a small selection of stalls selling autumn gifts and treats.
Entry is £6. That covers one adult, one child and one regular-sized pumpkin. More pumpkins can be bought on the day, and wheelbarrows can be hired. Yes, wheelbarrows, for people who mean business.
SRN Verdict
Two catches. Park admission isn't included, and annual pass holders still pay the festival fee. You book a time slot, but once you're in you can stay as long as you like within opening times. Bring a bag for life. Or a wheelbarrow.
