Did you know? Glanford Park was England's first new league ground in 33 years

Did you know? When Glanford Park opened in 1988, it was the first new purpose-built Football League stadium in England for 33 years. The last one before it was Southend's Roots Hall, back in 1955.
Scunthorpe: trendsetters. Who knew. It cost £2.5 million.
Before that, the Iron played at the Old Show Ground, from 1899 to 1988. The ground has had a few names. It was the Sands Venue Stadium from 2019 to 2022.
It has been the Attis Arena since 6 January 2024, after a Leeds-based insurance firm bought the naming rights. To most of us, it's still Glanford Park. The record attendance is 9,086, against Chester in the National League North play-off final on 18 May 2025.
SRN Verdict
