Barton dogs get a heated indoor pool. Barton humans quietly furious

Barton-upon-Humber is getting a heated indoor swimming pool. It's for dogs. Yes, the dogs got there first.
North Lincolnshire Council has given planning permission for The Doggy Paddle Club on Brigg Road. A commercial unit will become an indoor heated dog pool and activity centre, with a new entrance and windows.
The plans include private swimming sessions for all breeds and abilities, an interactive play and sensory area, and an optional self-service wash with shampoo, towels and drying. There will also be puppy classes, social sessions and "OAP sessions" for older dogs. A small grassed toilet area is included. Every gym should have one. No, wait.
There are conditions to keep the noise down: pre-booked appointments only, no walk-ins, and no more than six dogs on site at once. Sessions will mostly be 30 minutes, followed by a 15-minute changeover for cleaning and leaving. Customers are asked not to turn up too early. That will be hard for the dogs, who have been ready since 6am.
